18 battery monitor and isolated daisy chain communication interface

 

 Product Introduction 

CT3603 is a multi battery monitor that can measure up to 18 batteries connected in series, with a total measurement error (TME) of less than 3.0 mV. The wide battery measurement range ranges from 0V to 5.5V, making the device suitable for most battery chemistries such as NCM, LFP, sodium ion, and lead-acid batteries. All 18 units can be measured within 329 µ s, and a lower data acquisition rate can be selected to achieve higher noise reduction effect.

Multiple CT3603 devices can be connected in series, allowing for simultaneous monitoring of stacked high-voltage battery packs. Each CT3603 has an isolated daisy chain communication interface for high-speed (EMiso), RF immunity, and long-distance communication. Multiple devices are connected in a daisy chain, and all devices have a host processor connection. This disy chain can operate bidirectionally to ensure communication integrity, even in the event of a communication path failure. CT3603 has two specific part numbers, CT3603N has a maximum communication rate of 1M, and CT3603F has a maximum communication rate of 2.5M.

This device can be powered directly from the battery pack or from an isolated power source. It integrates passive balancing up to 350mA for each unit, with individual pulse width modulation (PWM) duty cycle control for each unit. Other features include an integrated 5V regulator, 9 universal I/O and sleep modes, with current consumption reduced to 12 µ a.
